CAST RECORDINGS OF 2025: A PERSONAL LOOK














There were plenty of new scores in 2025, but once again, with a very few exceptions, I didn’t enjoy them. Maybe I’m too old for the current Broadway/West End style of music, that’s probably the problem.

So here are my choices among the 77 (more or less) new Musical recordings released in 2025 that I listened to. In order to get an idea of my Musical tastes, take a look at my 20 FAVORITE SCORES of all time.

    Thanks again for another interesting list! I'm with you though: the older I get the less I seem to like a lot of the new shows and scores. I was unaware of "Romantics Anonymous" and will have to give it a try.

    I am so glad to see the Kiss of the Spider Woman soundtrack get some love! I think it's the best stage-to-screen adaptation since Cabaret.
