THE TONYS - CATCH ME IF YOU CAN

In this number from the new Broadway musical CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, Norbert Leo Butz shows why he won this year Tony (his second) for Best Leading Actor in a Musical.

I had the pleasure of seeing him, years ago, in the Broadway flop THOU SHALT NOT and he was the best thing on that show.  It was that performance that gave his career a strong impulse and anyone who saw him in it could see that he had a lot to give.

Singing and dancing “Don’t Break the Rules”, with a kind of electric choreography by Jerry Mitchell, with the show’s company, he reminded me of the late Michael Jeter in GRAND HOTEL.
